Dianne Marie Koss, age 57 of Amana, died Thursday afternoon, May 15, 2008 in the comfort of her own country home. She died following a long battle with cancer. Memorial Service: 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 18, 2008, Prairie View Christian Church, 400 Main St., Norway, IA with Pastor Bill Wenstrom officiating. Per Dianne’s wishes, her body was cremated. The family will greet friends after 1:00 P.M. Sunday at the church. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be contributed to Prairie View Christian Church, Norway, IA or the Iowa City Hospice, Iowa City, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband Duane Joseph Koss; a daughter, Melissa Seastrand of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Amanda, Alex, Alexis, and Adam; her mother, Alice Schrader of Warsaw, IL; a sister, Marlene (David) Schwarz of Keokuk, IA ,a brother, Brett (Paula) Schrader of Warsaw, IL and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are brother-in-laws Gregg Koss of Swisher and Dennis Koss of Makinaw, IL. She was preceded in death by her father, and her grandparents.

Dianne Marie Schrader was born October 31, 1950 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Wilfred and Alice Schrader. She received her education in the Warsaw, Illinois schools graduating from Warsaw High School in 1968. She then attended Gem City Business College in Quincy. Dianne married Patrick S. Zedrick in 1972. The couple later divorced. She was united in marriage to Duane J. Koss on December 29, 2006 in Williamsburg, Iowa. The couple made their home on a country acreage north of Amana. Dianne was employed at Bank of the West in Cedar Rapids as a loan officer.

She was a member of the Professional Women’s Network, the National Rifle Association, Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited, Pheasants Forever and the Wild Turkey Federation. She loved her family, friends and her two dogs, Jake and Skylar. She especially loved to ride her Ranger thru Whitetail Ridge at her home with her dogs alongside her.
