James Frederick Myers, 82, Perris, Calif., died recently at Menefee Hospital, Sun City, Calif., following a sudden illness..

He was born Jan. 24, 1925 in Marengo, the son of Carlos L. and Marie (Lutz) Myers. He attended school in Marengo and served in the Pacific in World War II.

He married Nadean Williams July 4, 1946. The couple resided in Marengo, where he worked at Leo Kelly Co. and Amana Refrigeration. They moved to Yuma, Ariz., in the late 1950’s, then to Riverside, Calif. He retired as supervisor of the Riverside County Road Department in January 1985 and retired to Perris.

Myers is survived by his wife; one son, James L. Myers, Perris; one daughter, Julie Marie and Ken Thomas, Fresno. Calif., two grandsons, James and Christopher Myers, Perris; one granddaughter and her husband, Melanie and Curt Kuhn, Clovis, Callif., one sister and her husband, Shirley and Clayton Gallagher, Big River, Calif., one sister-in-law, Marguerite Myers, Marengo, and one brother-in-law, Richard Delozier, Big River.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George Myers, and one sister Dorothy Delozier.
