WILLIAMSBURG - Merle Gene Turner was born January 14, 1925 in Fairfax, Iowa the son of Frank and Leona (Rose) Turner. He has lived and farmed in the Williamsburg community most all of his life. He also worked for Amana Corporation, Williamsburg Super Value, and a saw mill at South Amana. He was a member of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Williamsburg. Gene died on Sunday, February 4 [sic], 2008 at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo following a long illness at the age of 83 years. There is no immediate family. He is preceded in death by his parents. Graveside Service will be 10:30am on Thursday, February 7, 2008, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Williamsburg. Pastor James Parks will officiate.
