NORTH ENGLISH - Dot E. Cheney, 80, of Bertram, Texas, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2008. A memorial service in memory of Dot will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bertram Nursing Home. Arrangements entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home and Crematory of Burnet, Texas.

Dot is survived by her son, Menzo Denny Cheney and his wife, Lora, of Bertram; and grandchildren, Madeline and Wyatt Cheney, Rex Rowe, Marlene Cranston, Ralph Rowe, and Lynn "Skid" Rowe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; and a stepdaughter, Marge Rowe.

She was born June 24, 1927, in Iowa and was a longtime resident of North English. She was retired from Amana Refrigeration Co. Dot had lived in Bertram for the past six years and resided at the Bertram Nursing Home. She loved playing Bingo and spending time with her grandchildren and friends.

Dot loved children and the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Burnet or to any organization that supports and recognizes children.
