Dianne L Cobb was born on November 25, 1946 in Osceloa, IA, the daughter of Glenn & Louise Twombley McCarl. She graduated from Prairie High School in 1965. Dianne graduated with a nursing degree from Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, IA in 1968 and received her BS degree from St. Francis in St. Francis, MN. Dianne married John R. Cobb on June 29, 1968 in Cedar Rapids, IA. As a result of John’s job, they moved about the country. They have lived in Ankeny, IA, Alliance, NE, Coon Rapids, MN, Castle Rock, CO, Andover, MN and Keller, TX. Dianne worked for a variety of hospitals, nursing homes and finished her career in hospice. When they both retired, they moved to Pecan Gap, TX. Dianne enjoyed art galleries and museums, Boyds Bears, gardening, reading, shopping, and loved to watch A & E Mysteries. She was happiest when she bought things for others rather than for herself. She was an excellent cook, loved a full house, and was good at whatever she tried. She was a mother, a nurse, a daughter, a sister, and a wife but the greatest way to describe her the simplest: The Best. Dianne had a pure and loving heart. She raised children that weren’t born to her, but they were of her heart. Dianne was a caring soul who helped those in pain. She is survived by her husband John Cobb of Cooper, TX; 2 daughters: Steffanie Hjertstedt of Grand Forks, ND, Heather Goodson of Kyle, TX, a son Matthew Cobb of Kyle, TX and who is currently stationed in Ft. Stewart, GA with the US Army; her parents Glenn and Louise McCarl of Cedar Rapids, IA, and a sister Vicki Lefebure of Fairfax, IA.
