Will McGuire took his brother George to Victor Saturday to return to Persia, Iowa, he having been home to attend the funeral of his mother. Mrs. Sylvester McGuire was brought home last Tuesday evening having died on Monday evening at 5 o'clock. She was accompanied by Mr McGuire and sons, Will and Charley, her sister, Mrs Taylor Lindsay, husband and daughter. She was met at home by her daughter, Laura and family and a number of friends. Was buried Thanksgiving day at 10 o'clock at Armah. Services were conducted by Father McCarville assisted by the choir. A "Requiem" followed by one of Father McCarville's touching and eloquent sermons. She was 68 years old. A faithful christian, loving wife and indulgent mother. May she rest in peace.
