Terrance L. ``Terry'' Strang, 64, of 7400 Amana Rd., Fairfax, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a lengthy illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Bethany Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Paul Scheidt will officiate. Burial: Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg. Arrangements are with Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Joann; his mother, Eileen Strang of Fountain City, Wis.; two sisters, Kathy Doran and husband Tom and Jeanne Carman and husband Thomas, both of Madison, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Janice Strang of Omaha, Neb.; three nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Meredith Strang; and a brother, Dennis Strang.
Terry was born Sept. 25, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Meredith and Eileen Bond Strang. He attended Fairfax Public School and graduated from Prairie High School and Coe College in Cedar Rapids. He married Joann Witte on Oct. 18, 1975, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Williamsburg. Terry was a night auditor for the Holiday Inn, Town House Motel and Collins Radio. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. He enjoyed short wave radio and helping his dad farm.
