Mary Meyer, 91, of Blairstown, died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at Keystone Nursing Care Center in Keystone following an extended illness. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. John's Catholic Church, Blairstown, by Father Keith Birch. Burial: Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church, with a vigil service at 5 p.m. Arrangements are with Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown.

Mary was born Jan. 12, 1916, in Victor, to Henry and Leonie (Van Develde) Wauters. On Sept. 3, 1941, she married Wilbert ``Bud'' Meyer in Brooklyn, Iowa. Bud preceded her in death in 1999.

Mary was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the 20th Century Club in Blairstown. For several years she was employed by Benton Community Schools in Blairstown in the kitchen and as a custodian. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and quilting.

Mary was a very loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Larry) Hagen of Blairstown; her sons, Daryl (Brenda) Meyer of Blairstown and Darwin (Lori) Meyer of Van Horne; her grandchildren, Heidi (Larry) Driscoll, Jason (Nicole) Meyer, Kristie (Rick) Schmuecker, Amy (Garin) Woodward, Melissa (Jason) Sauser, Mandy (Pat) Freese, Jamie (fiancee Lisa) Meyer, Beth (Brandon) Hartkemeyer and Aaron (Kristin) Meyer; 10 great-grandchildren, with the 11th due in November; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 13 siblings.

A memorial fund has been established.
