O. Carolyn Jacobs, 80, of Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama and formerly of Belle Plaine died Monday, August 27, 2007 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center following a long illness. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday at Christ United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine by Rev. David Crow. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the Hrabak Funeral Home and after 9:00 AM Friday at the church.

She is survived by: sons, David (Chong) of Higley, AZ, and John (Sherry) of Earlham; daughter, Luann Manthei of Cedar Rapids; brother, Rudy (Jeanne) Kodras of Baltimore, MD; also by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Vernon; son, Dennis; son-in-law, Charles Manthei; sister, Diann Bledsoe; and brothers, Frank and John Kodras.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
