MILLERSBURG-Ronald Lynn Hall, age 66, of Millersburg, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at his home in Millersburg, following a brief illness. Ronald was born October 15, 1940, in Washington, Iowa, to Murray Hall Sr. and Bessie Ponchaud Hall. He lived in the Green Valley community until moving to Millersburg at the age of five. Ronnie graduated from Millersburg High School in 1960, then served in the U.S. Army in Thailand. He worked several jobs following his return to Millersburg and retired after working for Iowa County for 30 years. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, small engine repair, auctions and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Survivors include two sisters: Marjorie Goodman of Cedar Rapids and Merna Back and husband Tom of Palo; two brothers: Earle Hall and wife Helen of Millersburg and James Hall of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Murray Hall, Jr. and Wayne Dean Hall and two sisters: Mary Lou Hopp and Bessie M. (Betty) Hall. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2007, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English with Pastor Edwin Jordan and Rev. Ben Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Millersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2007, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English is handling the arrangements.
