Lucille “Lucy” Bunn, age 53 of Marengo, died Monday, March 5, 2007 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 8, 2007, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Marengo with Fr. Joseph Roost officiating. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo where there will be a Scripture Service held at 6:00 P.M. A memorial fund has been established.

She is survived by her husband Gary; three sons, Chad McLeod (Deborah) of Toledo, and Leif Morris (Amanda) of Chelsea, and Gary Jr. and wife of Edwards Air Force Base in California; two daughters, Sheri Thomas and husband Eric of Atkins and Andre’ Bunn of Davenport; 9 grandchildren, Zach, Jarret, and Kelsie Morris, Tony Werner, Gracie Thomas, Drake and Damian McLeod, and Anna and Noble Bunn. In addition, she is survived by her mother, Albie Behounek of Tama and two sisters, Monica Hoherz (Paul) of Iowa City and Elaine Behounek of Marengo. She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Bob and Larry Behounek.

Lucille Marian Behounek was born December 30, 1953 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin and Albie (Hala) Behounek. She attended Tama High School and graduated from Marshalltown Community College as a registered nurse. She married Gary Bunn on August 12, 1993 in Marengo. She was employed as a nurse at Marshalltown Intensive Care, the Marengo Hospital, and the Marengo Medical Clinic for a time. Lucy was a member of the Marengo Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed painting, playing Pepper and collecting lighthouses. She loved nature and the outdoors.
