Treva Arlene Smith
March 23,1926 - Nov. 9, 2005

Treva was born near Williamsburg, Iowa and was one of ten children. She is survived by her husband, Arnold Smith; three brothers, Orville Thomas, Warren Thomas and Byron (Barney) Thomas; two sisters, Velma (Thomas) Mueller and Ethel (Thomas) Wiebold; two sons, Edward (Michael) Ashworth and Jason Smith; two daughters, Arlene (Ashworth) Hall and Judy Smith; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Ashworth; two brothers, Kenneth and Russell; and two sisters, Dorothy and Mildred.

Treva was a resident of Placerville since 1955. She worked for Marshall Hospital, in the Housekeeping Department, for 25 years. If you worked for or stayed at Marshall Hospital during the time Treva worked there, then you must have talked with her at least once. She really liked the people at Marshall Hospital and she enjoyed working there.

Treva and Arnold celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 3 this year.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15 at Chapel of the Pines in Placerville. There will be a viewing from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2005.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to Sutter Medical Center Foundation, 2800 I.(L?) Street Suite 620, Sacramento, CA 95618. The family suggests that you ask that the donation be used for the Breast Cancer Program.
