Ernest L. Kithcart, 67, of Belle Plaine, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, in his home following a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Christ United Methodist Church, Belle Plaine, by the Rev. David Crow. Burial: Koszta Cemetery, Koszta. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

He is survived by a son, Justin (Lori) of Atkins; a sister, Neatha Spading of Marion; and three grandchildren, Kelsie, Drew and Jackson.

Mr. Kithcart was active in the community, serving on several boards and holding memberships in active service organizations. He worked for Town & Country Wholesale for 44 years, earning many sales awards, including National Candy Salesman of the Year.

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund will be established in Ernie's name.
