Ida E. Glandorf Hirsbrunner, 96, died Saturday morning, April 1, 2006, in English Valley Care Center, North English, following an extended illness. Celebration of Life service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, by the Rev. Carl Cloeter. Burial: Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg. Friends may call from 5 to 8 tonight at St. Paul Lutheran Fellowship Hall. Arrangements are with Kloster Funeral Home in Marengo.
Memorials may be contributed to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Lutheran Interparish Schools in Williamsburg.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Erwin of Williamsburg and Carolyn Townsend and husband John of Wellman; five grandchildren, Renee Amantea, Tammy Sodergren, Chris Townsend, Jennifer Callahan and Andy Townsend; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; son, Delbert; two sisters, Pearl Haas and Minnie Wardenburg; and great-grandson, Devin Amantea.

Ida Emma Glandorf was born Jan. 19, 1910, on the family farm, east of Williamsburg, the daughter of John and Clara Newkirk Glandorf. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School, rural Williamsburg. Prior to her marriage she worked at the Rawleigh Spice Co. in Freeport, Ill. She married Glenn Hirsbrunner on Aug. 18, 1946, in Freeport. The couple moved to the family farm east of Williamsburg, where she was always busy helping with the farm chores and gardening, until moving to Williamsburg in 1974. There she enjoyed quilting, baking, babysitting for her great-grandchildren and continued gardening and canning. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.
