Frank Thys, age 92, of Victor, died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at his home. A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor with Rev. Brian J. Shepley officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Victor. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home in Victor beginning at 12 noon on Monday with the family present to greet friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Monday evening. A vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday evening with a rosary service to follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Frank Thys Memorial Fund. Frank is survived by his sons, Robert (Glenda) Thys of Tipton, Iowa, John (Rita) Thys of Victor, Tom (Jean) Thys of Victor, and Mike Thys of Brooklyn, Iowa; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Scandridge of Victor.
