George Wolterman
(October 21, 1892 – July 16, 1946)

Obituary
George Wolterman was born on a farm west of Breda on October 21, 1892. He attended school in that vicinity and then took up the occupation of farming. He was united in marriage to Anne Steinkamp at Saint Bernard church in Breda January 13, 1914 and to this union was born 13 children of which one son, Richard Dale preceded his father in death. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Edwin, Odebolt, Carl, Ione, Marvin, Huntington Park, Calif; Merita (Mrs. Donald Reiff); Vernon, Delmar, George Jr., Henry, Robert, Rose Ann and Mary Lou. Also one grandson Donnie Reiff. Seven sisters and four brothers also mourn his passing. His parents and two brothers, Carl and John, preceded him in death. Mr. Wolterman had been in a haying accident July 9 and apparently had been improving when he died suddenly at his home July 16 at 7:30 p.m. Services were conducted at the Sacred Heart Church in Ida Grove July 19 at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Father Dailey of Wall Lake officiating. Burial was made in the Ida Grove Catholic Cemetery. Six nephews served as pallbearers: Norville Steinkamp, Wallace Bruns, Elmo Knobbe, Marcellus Wolterman, Gerald Wolterman and Glenn Fitzenry.
