William Dietrich Koster

William D. Koster, 76, of Ida Grove, passed away January 20, 1979, at the Ida Grove hospital.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Walter Chapel in Anthon with Rev. Terry Weinhold officiating. Burial was in Midway Cemetery near Battle Creek, under the direction of Walter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Tom Craig, Merlin Schultz, Otto Hunwardsen, James Eickholt, David Suhr and Lester Suhr.

Mr. Koster was born June 8, 1902 near Battle Creek in Morgan Township, the son of H. William and Katharina Jacobsen Koster. He lived in the Danbury-Battle Creek community, spending the last 15 years in Ida Grove.

Survivors include 2 brothers: Walter Koster of Correctionville, Henry Koster of Storm Lake; 3 sisters: Miss Eldora Koster of Correctionville, Mrs. Elise (Hans) Suhr of Correctionville, and Mrs. Clara (Joseph) Gotto of Correctionville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
