Ida County Pioneer Record, Ida Grove, Iowa, Thurs, Jan 11, 1940, p.10
Mrs. Frank Bader, Ida Grove, Dies Sunday, Jan. 7
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Frank Bader at Moore Bros. Funeral Home Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. H. E. Whyte officiating. Mrs. E. A. Swanke sang “We Are Going Down the Valley One By One” and “The Old Rugged Cross,“ accompanied by Mrs. Stanley J. Mead. Burial was made in the Ida Grove Cemetery. Helen Edith Clark was born on June 30, 1885 at New Orleans. She was raised to womanhood in the home of an aunt. On April 4, 1933 she was united in marriage to Frank Bader at Oregon, Ill. Their married life was spent in DeKalb, Ill., and in various places in Iowa, and she always left some very good friends in each place. Two years ago she underwent a serious operation and has been in poor health most of the time during the year or more spent in Ida Grove. She was in the Methodist hospital in Sioux City for some time during the summer and again for nine days preceding her death. Loving came and medical skill could not stay the silent hand of death which came Sunday morning to beckon her to rest. Her age at the time of her death was 54 years, 8 months and 7 days. Her passing is mourned by her husband and her friends.
