Charles Moore Dies at Iowa city
Mrs. Sarah Moore received word Wednesday morning that her grandson, Charles Moore, had died at 5 a.m., that day at the hospital in Iowa City, where he has been confined since August, suffering from some form of tuberculosis of the spine. His final illness dates from early last June.
Charles Moore was born May 14, 1909 in Ida Grove and was past 21 years old. He attended the Ida Grove schools going as far as the 9th grade. He was a member of the 186th ambulance corps of Ida Grove. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Moore, both of whom are deceased. He has an aunt, Mrs. Ada Claybaugh of Sioux City, and an uncle, Purl Moore of Ida Grove, in addition to his grandmother. The funeral will be held Friday at 2:30 at the Armory and will be a military ceremonial, with burial in Ida Grove Cemetery.
