Funeral of Mrs. Morse Rowe
Funeral services were held for Faye Wheeler Rowe, Tuesday, July 1, at the Presbyterian church with Rev. Claude Fausnaugh in charge of the services. Mrs. Rowe was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wheeler and was born on a farm in Grant Township, December 20, 1898. She grew to young womanhood there, also attended the rural schools in that township, taking a normal course at Denison and taught school three years. On August 11, 1919, she became the bride of Morse Rowe, residing on a farm in Garfield township until the spring of 1927 when they moved to the farm they were living on now. Being denied children, the young couple adopted a little boy about a year ago. Those left to mourn are her husband and son, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Wheeler, five sisters, Mrs. Lulu Fouts, Mrs. Ruth Bush and Mrs. Rose Jones of Battle Creek, Mrs. Merle Bailey of Gregory, S. D., and Mrs. Florence Jones of California, and one brother Roy of Yankton, S. D. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Macklem of Laurel, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rowe of Fairmont, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Corey of Wagner, S. D., Mr. and Mrs. Scott Bahnel of Wagner, S. D., and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stevens of Sioux City, and Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Wallace of Cushing, Mr. and Mrs. Will Anderson of Anthon.
