Succumbs After Fight For Life
Little Beverly Rae Parker Sick for Three Months Following Measles
Unusually sad is the untimely death of little Beverly Rae Parker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Parker, who passed from this earthly life Monday, July 7, after a brave fight for health lasting more than twelve weeks. Beverly Rae’s funeral was held at the Methodist Church in Ida Grove Wednesday afternoon at two thirty, preceded by brief services at the home, Rev. George Dunn was the officiating minister and the little girl was laid to rest in Ida Grove Cemetery. Beverly Rae was born at the family home on the Maple Valley road, January 19, 1921 and would have been ten years old, at her next birthday. She was a bright and lovely child and attended the fourth grade in the rural schools and the Methodist Sunday school. She contracted measles about the middle of March, these being followed by heart trouble and rheumatism. She lingered for twelve weeks, making a partial recovery about a month ago, and then a relapse two weeks ago. She is survived by her parents, two brothers, Roger and Harold, a sister, Shirley Kathleen, by her two sets of grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Parker and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Crane, and by several uncles and aunts.
