Mrs. Clapsaddle Buried At Galva
Prominent Woman of Galva Community Had Been Ill Several Months
A beloved woman of Galva, Mrs. George Clapsaddle, passed from this earthly life Saturday, November 22 at 1:30 p.m., after a long period of illness. She sustained a stroke fifteen years ago and was bedfast a year, after which she rallied and was able to resume her normal life. Another attack came the past July and since that time, she had been an invalid. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Galva, with Rev. Mr. Phillips of Galva and Rev. B. M. Warren of Sioux City which was very largely attended. Mrs. Clapsaddle had attained the age of 74 years and 6 months. She is survived by her husband and four children: Roy Clapsaddle, Leon Clapsaddle, Mrs. Marcella Stoltenberg and Mrs. Harry C. Jacques, all of the Galva vicinity. Three children have preceded their mother in death.
