B. C. Woman Died Sunday

Mrs. Jane Stapleton, 77, of Battle Creek died Dec 14, at a nursing home in Mapleton. Funeral services were held Dec. 16 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ida Grove with the Rev Harry Dailey officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Ida Grove.

A native of Battle Creek, the former Jane Hayward was born Oct. 8, 1892. In 1916 she married Joseph Stapleton at Battle Creek. He preceded her in death in 1918.

She is survived by a son Joseph of Kiron; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Rice of Kingsley. Mrs. Jane Peters of Ute, Mrs. Lenora Seuntjens and Mrs. Rose Hein both of Battle Creek. Mrs. John M Shulenberger Jr. of South Sioux City; seven grandchildren and three, great-grandchildren.
