Was Resident of County 50 Years; Mrs. A. B. Lampe Expires at Home in Ida Grove. Funeral Today
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, March 28, at two o’clock at the Moore Funeral Home in Ida Grove, with Rev. G. W. Dunn officiating, for the late Mrs. A. B. Lampe, who died Monday evening, March 25, at her home in Ida Grove. Burial will be made in Mount Hope Cemetery at Battle Creek. Mrs. Lampe, who had been in poor health for some time, had been a resident of Ida County for fifty years. At the time of her death she was seventy-one years, 4 months and 2 days old. She is survived by four daughter, Minnie of Ida Grove, Mrs. Alice Streck and Mrs. Ida Streck of Schleswig; five sons, Will H. of Battle Creek; Ed of Ida Grove; Lewis of LeMars; Albert of Marshalltown; and Herman of Los Angeles, Calif., 24 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Ella Geer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philander Geer, was born Feb 23, 1863, in New York City. When about five years of age she came to Green Island, Ia., with her parents and lived there until she was married to A. B. Lampe of Bellevue, Iowa. They began farming near Preston, Iowa, but moved to Battle Creek in 1884. After living there about thirty years they moved onto a farm, staying there three years before moving to Ida Grove. Mrs. Lampe was a regular attendant at the Methodist church when her health permitted. She was a member of Oak Rebekah lodge at Battle Creek. A loving mother and a kind neighbor, she will be long remembered by all who knew her.

Streck of family, Mr. and Mrs. George Streck and family, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rolefson and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Nelsen Jr. of Schleswig, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lampe and family, Mrs. James Heath, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Chrisholm, Mrs. Harry Rowe, Mrs. Ed Bush and Mrs. J. G. Robinson of Battle Creek.
