Services for Mrs. Robert Marchant, 41, Livermore, were held Wednesday (May 8, 1974) morning in Humboldt United Methodist Church, with burial in Union Cemetery. Lindhart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Marchant died Saturday morning of natural causes in her farm home near Livermore.

Surviving are the widower, Robert; daughters, Mrs. Roger (Mary Beth) Collins, South Sioux City, Neb.; Miss Rebecca Jane Marchant, serving with the US Army in Germany. Dorothy Sue, at home; and son , David Frank, at home; one grandson, her mother, Mrs. Frank Johnson, Humboldt; and sister, Mrs. Melvin Kubly, Lu Verne.

Mary Ellen Johnson was born at Bradgate, attended schools at Gilmore City and Livermore and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1950. In 1950, she married Robert Marchant; the couple farmed in the Giolmore City-Bradgate and Badger areas, and then moved to a farm north of Humboldt about eight years ago.

She was active in church work and civic organizations.

Dr. Ralph Kitterman officiated at final rites. Casket bearers were Robert Peterson, Ivan Wetzel, Mervin Nelson, Dean Hoag, Dale Ghert and Dick Warehime. Special music was provided by organist William Verbrugge, who was accompanied on the organ by Eugene Smith. Mrs. Virgil Williams, Mrs. Roy Nygaard and Mrs. Homer Millang were in charge of arrangement of flowers. Ushers were Roy Nygaard and Bernard Jacobs.
