Mrs. Carpenter - Obituary
Amanda Ann Longerhearn was born at West Liberty, Ia., Jan 3, 1855. She was married to Wallace Clark Carpenter at Humboldt in 1876. To this union were born two children: Elsie May, now Mrs. Massey of Los Angeles, Calif. and Chester Windfield who resides at Rolfe. She passed away at the home of her son, Dec. 19, 1939, at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 15 days. Her husband passed away 33 years ago. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Mrs. Massey, who on account of distance was unable to attend, her son, Chester Carpenter, 3 grandchildren, Mrs. Roy Cobb, Ralph Stotts, and Mrs. James McLellan, 9 great grandchildren and numerous other friends and relatives.
