1978: Mrs. Synneva Dale died early Tuesday morning at her home in Bode following an apparent heart attack. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church at Bode, with burial at the church cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday at Schellhammer Funeral Home, West Bend.

Among the survivors are several sisters in Norway.

Synneva Olsnes was born in Norway and moved to the United States as a young woman. She married Joe Dale in 1920 at Bode. They lived on a farm near Bode until they moved to Bode in 1947. Mr. Dale died in 1962.
