LIVERMORE-Allen R. Klein, 67, died Jan. 18, 2002 in the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital at Humboldt. Funeral Mass for him was held Tuesday, Jan. 33, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Livermore with the Rev. Dan Greving the celebrant. Interment was in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Livermore with the Harris Funeral Home of Livermore in charge of arrangements.

Allen R. Klein, the son of Nicholas and Mary (Hilbert) Klein, was born Oct. 9, 1934 at Watkins, MN. At an early age he moved to Iowa and was educated in Livermore. Allen was married to Virginia Foreman in 1969 at Livermore, and the couple lived in Livermore where he owned and operated Klein TV. He was a United States Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post of Livermore.

Survivors are sons, Brian of Algona; John of Bode; Angela Merry, Remsen; Andrew, Forest City; and Michael, Livermore; daughters, Kathryn Klein and Elizabeth Klein, both of Livermore; four grandchildren; brother, Edwin "Bud" of Livermore; sisters, Mary Kellner, Stewartville, MN, Alice Stalzer, Livermore, Marlene Albus, Waterloo, Marilyn Klein and Norma Jean Nelson, both of Humboldt, Leverna Sturm, Belmond, and Yvonne Awe of Badger.
