Letha Mae Bergum, 76, died Sunday, march 18 2001, in the Humboldt County Hospital at Humboldt.

Funeral service for her will be held today, Thursday, March 22, at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Livermore with the Rev. Dan Greving officiating. Burial is in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Livermore, the Harris Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of Henry and Agnes Monson, Letha Mae was born Nov. 6, 1924, at Algona. She attended school at Livermore and on Sept. 27, 1947, was married to Milton Bergum in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Livermore.

Letha was a dedicated homemaker. She also operated the DX Oil station at Livermore which had been nicknamed, Petticoat Junction Oil Station.

She is survived by her husband, Milton; a son, Steve and Christine Bergum of Liberty Lake, WA. There are two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Four sisters and a brother also survive, Marie Henderson, Dorothy Phillips, Lorraine Stucker, Margaret Wilder and Donald Monson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Agnes Monson; sisters and brothers, Thelma Hewitt, Elsie Marso, Dennis Monson, Harold Monson, Merle Monson, Stanley Monson, Verma Monson, Lucille Ristau and Jean Thul.
