Services Friday for Chris Sorensen, 85

Funeral services for Chris Sorensen, 85, will be held Friday at 2 p.m., at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, with Lindhart funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Union Cemetery

He is survived by his wife, Sophie, a son, Gerald of Humboldt and daughter Joyce, Mrs. Doyle Dailey of Algona. There are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Chris Sorensen was born in Denmark, coming to this country in 1904. He married Sophie Schultz at Humboldt January 8, 1916 and the couple farmed near Humboldt for many years. They retired and moved into Humboldt in 1957.

He was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and a longtime member of Farm Bureau.
