Conrad Wolfe, who lived with son Henry, 2 miles north of Bode, died 12:40 Sept 6 after a fall. Born in Germany and would have been 70 the 24th of this mounth. To U.S. at age of 18 & located in Dubuque Co.Iowa Were he married. Mrs. Wolfe died 7 years ago. 4 daughters & 3 sons remain: Mrs. Will Mertz, Mrs. Mike Klepper, of Ottosen, IA, Mrs Nick Ruden, of Holy Cross, IA Rose, With sister at Holy Cross. Henry & Mike of Bode, IA & John of Iowa Falls, IA. ( He came from Luxembourg not Germany)

Conrad Wolfe, one of the good men of St. Joe country, died at the age of 71. He lived just over the line in Humboldt Co. Was in good health untell he fell down the stairs a week ago last saturday. Being a heavey man, weighing about 200lbs, he was fatally injured. The skull at the back of the head was crushed and on one side paralised. He lived until Friday.Burial took place Monday at St. Joe Cemetary. Wife died a few years ago and children were all grown up. He was living with his son Henry.
