Mrs. Wm. Schultz (nee Mary Fairbanks) passed away last Saturday, January 4th, at the hospital in Austin, after a brief illness caused from influenza. The remains were brought here for burial, Saturday night, and short funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 6th, at the Bradley undertaking parlors with burial at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

OBITUARY
SCHULTZ
Mary Elizabeth Fairbanks, youngest daughter of Joel and Elizabeth Fairbanks, was born in Cresco, November 18, 1896.
Her young life was spent in this vicinity. When but a young girl she united with the M. E. church of which she had been a faithful worker, with Miss Mary Rice as her teacher.
On May 10, 1917, she was united in marriage with Wm. Schultz who with her parents, three sisters, and one brother are left to mourn her loss.
She with her husband went to Austin, Minn., Dec. 26th for a time. On Jan 1., 1919, she was stricken with influenza and on Saturday, January 4th, at one o’clock passed away at the hospital in that place.
Funeral services were held on January 6th from Bradley’s undertaking parlors with burial at Oak Lawn.

Mrs. Ernest Hoppie, who was called here to attend the funeral of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Will Shultz, returned Monday to her home at St. Paul.
