OBITUARY
LOUGHREY.
Anna Luana Loughrey was born in Cresco, Iowa, on May 2, 1908. When she was six years of age, her parents moved to Cushing, Wis. And just recently to Balsam Lake, Wis. Luana attended the public schools of the community, was a very studious child, made rapid advancement in her studies and was, at her decease, enrolled in the seventh grade. She has also been a constant attendant at church service and Sunday School and these were always a delight to her She loved to read her Bible, to play and sing hymns and was ever trying to bring joy into the hearts of others.
One week ago last Friday she began to complain and on Monday last was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Paul, where on the same day, an operation was performed for appendicitis. After several days of suffering, God’s sweet Angels came for her on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 19, 1918, age 10 years, 6 months and 29 days.
The memory of her short, beautiful life will be most fondly cherished by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Loughrey, and brother Henry, of Balsam Lake, Wis., and a grandmother, Mrs. Caroline Loughrey, of St. Paul, besides a large number of other relatives.
The funeral service was held at the Cresco Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, Conducted by Rev. E. G. Copeland and interment was made at Oak Lawn.
