OBITUARY,
De Greve.
Adeline De Greve was born June 23, 1901, in Saratoga twp., and after attaining the age of 16 years, 11 months and 8 days, died June 1, 1918, at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Chas. DeGreve, in Cresco, where she had always made her home since her mother’s death 14 years ago. She graduated from the School of the Assumption in June, 1917. Began to fail in health shortly after. All was done that loving hands could do to make it pleasant and cheerful for the loved one. Father MacDonald did his duty up to the last days.
Funeral services were held with high mass as{sic} the Church of the Assumption Monday, June 3rd, at 9 a.m., by Father Ryan.
She was of a kind and cheerful disposition, loved by every one who knew her and was a child of Christian Catholic faith and love. She suffered patiently without one murmur and in her greatest pain asked the Lord to help her. She leaves her father, one sister, grandmother and grandfather and many aunts and uncles and cousins. She was laid to rest in St. Joseph’s cemetery, followed by the Rosary Sodality of which she was a member, and by her many sympathizing friends.
Those from a distance who attended the funeral were her Grandpa Ferrie, Uncle Herbert Ferrie and Mrs. J. Galliger from Austin.

Peaceful be thy silent slumber,
Peaceful in thy grave so low,
Thou no more will join our number
Thou no more our sorrows know.
Yet again we hope to meet thee
When the day of life is fled,
And in Heaven with joy to greet thee
Where no farewell tears are shed.
The pall bearers were: George Laub, John Lydon, Frank Owens, Gerald Ferrie, Ray Farrell, Gerald Gorman, Dorothy Ferrie, Mable Glass, Mary Milz, Beatrice Woods, Bernice Zender, Pearl Heyberger.

We take this method to thank the friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us during the sickness and death of our loved one, also for the beautiful floral offerings.
Mr. John DeGreev.
Mrs. Chas. DeGreve.
Miss Emma DeGreve.
