Died –Joseph Moudry, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moudry passed away at his home, Tuesday, Jan. 29th. Funeral will be held at the Holy Trinity Church, Thursday. The remains will be laid to rest in the Holy Trinity cemeterp{sic}. He leaves to mourn his loss father, mother, one sister, Mrs. Jas. Svoboda and one brother Frank.

Transcriber’s Note: Holy Trinity Cemetery shows the name spelled Josef. He was born Apr. 25, 1890.

OBITUARY.

MOUDRY.

J. C. Moudry, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank K. Moudry, was born April 25, 1890, on a farm in New Oregon twp., where he grew to manhood, following his chosen vocation as farmer. He worked continuously with his father on the homestead farm where he spent all of the 27 eyars, 9 months and 4 days of his life.

Joe was a loving son, kind and honest, an industrious worker and always ready to help those in need of any assistance.

Though seeming apparently well, he was ailing, but seldom complained and when on Tuesday morning, Jan. 29, he arose later than the rest of the family as was his custom, and got ready to begin another days’ work, he died suddenly.

Though when discovered by his mother life was not yet extinct but passed away a few minutes later. Medical aid was at once summoned but arrived too late to be of any assistance. He leaves to mourn his death his father and mother, a brother Frank J. Moudry, and one sister, Mrs. Jas. Svoboda.

Funeral services were Thursday at the Holy Trinity Church at Protivin, and the remains were laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
