Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Davis and daughters Alice and Katherine went to Lime Springs Friday to attend the funeral of the former’s brother, John W. Davis.

J. W. Davis died last Saturday evening, about 9 o’clock, after suffering since Sunday evening from a severe stroke of apoplexy. The funeral services were held at the Welch church on Tuesday at 3 o’clock.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Nov. 27, 1850 and died Jan. 26, 1918. He is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
