Dennis Lee Rush, 52, of Cresco, Iowa, passed away unexectedly on the night of July 6th, 2023 at his home.

Dennis was born in Asbury, Hamilton County, Ohio on February 23rd, 1971 to Roger and Charlene (Small) Rush. He was one of two children growing up, as they had many adventures of living in the states of: Ohio, California, Idaho and Iowa. He had attended school through the 12th grade, graduating from Oroville High School, California, in 1989.

Dennis was married to Melissa JoAnne (Garrison) Ott on August 27th,1997 at Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho next to a beautiful view of a lake. During their marriage, they moved to Cresco, Iowa starting their new life together and blessing themselves with two boys, Dakota and Dalton. In November of 2004, they had parted their ways. Later in life, Dennis had been blessed again with the birth of two boys, Charlee and Christean with Samantha D. (Peter) Grube.

Dennis loved helping others with no favors in return and thought living in wisdom was superior to living foolishly. He loved working for Featherlite Trailers and the relationships that were built for 25+ years. If he wasn’t working, you could find him at the trap range watching his sons, taking long naps on the couch with his German Shepard Zeus, or working on his vehicles, but mostly on a recent purchase of his dream car a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. Per his sons, they enjoyed having the time to Play Call of Duty together “even though he wasn’t the best, he tried”.

Dennis is survived by his four sons, Dakota (Desirae Kostka) Rush of Cresco, Iowa, Dalton (Kari Tangen) Rush of Marshalltown, Iowa, Charlee Rush of Cresco, Iowa, and Christean Rush of Cresco, Iowa. Along with his older brother Charles (Elaine) Rush of Oroville, California and their children.

He was proceded in death by his parents, Roger and Charlene (Small) Rush.
