LIME SPRINGS - Timothy (Tim) Morgan passed away on July 9, 2023, in Rochester, Minn. He was born on May 28, 1961 and grew up on a farm near Lime Springs, Iowa. Tim was a caring and devoted spouse to his wife, Beverly (Bev) Morgan, whom he married in 1984.
Tim was a proud father to Miranda Morgan Lilla and husband, Matt Lilla, Taralee Morgan, and Heidi Knoke. He was Papa to Norbert, his best friend and special joy.
Tim completed his high school education at Harmony High School, graduating in 1979. He studied broadcast engineering at Austin Vocational Tech. He spent his engineering career at KTTC TV, KXLI TV, KTMA TV, and KAVT TV. For the last five years, Tim was the Media Technical Coordinator at Evangel United Methodist Church, where he demonstrated his lifelong dedication to his Lord, service to others, and commitment to a pristine, well-planned service.
Tim loved to play the guitar, sing, and write music. He did weekly shows online during COVID and performed at local coffee shops and restaurants. He was an endless Mr. Fix It who showed his love by taking care of his family and friends. Tim loved date nights at the movies, watching college and professional sports, and weekly phone calls with his twin brother Tom. He was especially proud to be one of the founding members and drummer of the band Gemini.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Charles Morgan, mother, Bernadine Kelly, sister, Sue Reiss, brother-in-law John Reiss, brother, Larry (Rosie) Scrabeck, and nephew Micheal Scrabeck.
He will be greatly missed by his parent Emily Morgan; brothers, Rick, Joe, Tom, Dwight and Wayne; sisters Mary and Karen and their large and loving families.
We will always remember Tim as a funny, energy-filled family member and friend whose impact on others was immeasurable. He will be forever missed.
