Johnson.
Sara Sevalson Losen was born July 12, 1853 at Jefferson Prairie, Wis. While still an infant she moved with her parents to Hesper, Iowa, and at the age of twelve moved to a farm twelve miles north of Cresco. On May 20th, 1871, she was united in marriage to Andrew Johnson and moved to Cresco which has been her home until last August when she moved to St. Paul to make a home for her daughter Mathilda who teaches in the public schools there. Mrs. Johnson suffered a slight stroke about a year and a half ago from which she never fully recovered and on Oct. 26th was again stricken and passed away Friday morning Oct. 28th at 6 o'clock. She leaves to mourn her loss a daughter Mathilda, of St. Paul and son John, of Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. Her husband preceeded her to his eternal rest in 1900. Bessie, the eldest daughter died in 1908 and one child died in infancy. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Erickson, of Trent, S. Dak., Siri Losen, of Locust, Iowa, and two brothers L. J. Losen, of Harmony, Minn., and P. J. Losen, of Locust, Ia.
Funeral services were conducted at the First Lutheran church of Cresco, Monday, Nov. 3rd, 1913, Rev. Figenbaum, of Cresco, Rev. Ottersen, of West Salem, Wis., and Rev. S. T. Reque, of St. Paul officiating. She was laid to rest at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ellestad, Mrs. Ramsey and Mrs. Thompson from Decorah, Iowa, L. J. Losen and son Joseph and daughter Mrs. Scrabec, of Harmony, Minn.

Mrs. N. Ramsey, Mrs. L. M. Thomp¬son, and Mr. and Mrs. John Alsted came up from Decorah on Monday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Andrew Johnson, as also did Mr. and Mrs. T. Scrabeck, from Harmony, Minn.
