Chryst.
Mary Lettie Hall, eldest daughter of Samuel and Mary Hall, was born August 4th, 1846, in Rutland county, Vt. The family moved to Darlington, Wis., where the mother died, and Lettie took the mother's place in the home, caring for the younger brothers and sisters.
The family moved to Vernon Springs, Iowa, in 1874.
She was united in marriage to Geo. D. Chryst on June 14, 1885, in Cresco, where they have made their home since, with the exception of two years at Monroe, Wis.
Mrs. Chryst fell asleep at her home in Cresco on October 30th, 1913, after an illness of three days.
She is survivied{sp} by her husband, three brothers, George and Samuel Hall of Lime Springs, Iowa, and Ira Hall of Port Angeles, Wash., also one sister, Mrs. Milo Woodward of Cresco.
Mrs. Chryst has been a member of the Congregational church of Cresco since 1877, and was always active in the work of the church until her health compelled her to rest. She was a consistent Christian, who showed her fatith{sp} by her works.
The funeral services were conducted in the Congregational church by her pastor, Dr. D. T. Robertson, on Saturday morning, Nov. 1st, and the body was laid to rest in Oak Lawn cemetery.
