Louisa{sic} Korbel passed away Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Korbel of Cresco, at the age of 20 years. She has been ill for several months and had underwent four operations for tubercular glands. The funeral took place yesterday morning at St. Joseph's church.

KORBEL.
Louise Korbel was born near Spillville, Iowa, April 15, 1891, and passed away after a seven months illness from chronic disease, Tuesday 4 p.m., at her home in Cresco, Iowa, Aug. 29, 1911, age 20 years, 4 months and 15 days.
Miss Korbel lived with her parents near Spillville until she reached the age of two and then moved near Davis Comers, where she lived for seventeen years, and until she made her home in Cresco a year ago last March.
She was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Korbel and leaves to mourn her loss, father and mother, two sisters, Mayme and Anna, and one brother William.
She was a person of very strong intellect and never diverted from her convictions of right when two path¬ways appeared before her. Her convictions for what was right were her only guide. She was a loving and affectionate daughter and sister and a kind considerate friend. To know her was to love her and no eulogy is necessary for her friends well know the measure of her greatness. All who knew |her have lost a true and Christian friend, and her taking away is a great grief to all.
The funeral was held at the St. Joseph’s church Thursday morning and her burial took place at the St. Joseph’s cemetery.
