Mrs. Charles Milz, aged 30 years, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Theilen, passed away Monday afternoon at her home northwest of Cresco, after several months of illness, leaving a husband and four children, the oldest about six yours of age. The funeral took place Wednesday morning at St. Joseph’s church.

Matilda Thielen was born Dec. 10, 1881, in Crown Point, Ind., and departed this life Aug. 28, 1911. In 1887 she came with her parents to Cresco and lived on a farm one mile and a half southwest of Howard Center. She was married to Chas. Milz, Feb. 9, 1904. Besides her husband she leaves four children, Viola age 6, Florence 4, Lucile 2 and Ruth age 3 months, who are left with their father to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother.
Besides her husband and children she leaves her parents, five brothers and four sisters. Geo. and Will of Chicago, John of Dell Rapids, S. D., Frank of St. Paul, Minn. Mrs. Albert Herold, Mary, Albert, Rose and Loretta, all of Cresco.
The funeral was held on Wednesday, Aug. 30, from St. Joseph’s church, of which the deceased was a faithful and conscientious member, loved and respected by all who knew her. Interment being in St. Joseph’s cemetery, Rev. Father Wagner officiating.
