Word was received by the J. D. Hayes family of the death of Mrs. Matilda Poe Harlow, wife of Isiah Harlow, at Petaluma, California, June 22, 1912. Mrs. Harlow was one of the early New Oregon residents, later lived with her family at Riceville. Then the family moved to California where she spent the last thirty years of her life. She passed away at the home of her son George, at the age of 75 years.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in Sacramento City Cemetery and that she was born in 1837.
