Mrs. Agnes France who for a number of years has been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Saxton, passsed{sp} away last Sunday afternoon. Agnes Denniston was born in Ashton, Under Line, England, May 12, 1824. She grew to womanhood at that place and in the year 1846 she was united in marriage to Francis France who preceded her in death in 1897. Three children were born to this union, a son who died in infancy and two daughters, Mrs. Alice Cease, who died four years ago and Mrs. Charles Saxton of this place. Mrs. France was a staunch member of the Episcopal church. She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, five grand children and 15 great grand children.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the home in Elma. Services were conducted by Rev. Meyers. The burial took place in Howard cemetery.
