John Culbert Dead.
The many Cresco friends of John Culbert were unexpressibly saddened by the receipt of a telegram late Tuesday announcing his death that evening.
He was taken ill about the 15th of August with typhoid fever and as he had been rather run down all summer and the disease manifested itself severely, the ultimate outcome of his illness was anxiously awaited by all his friends.
The funeral took place yesterday at the old home near Little Britain, Canada, to which place he and his wife removed last spring.
During his stay in Cresco, John won the respect and esteem of all, and every acquaintance was a friend. No one ever spoke ill of his moral or business character and to his intimate acquaintances he became bound by ties as strong as that of relationship and with them his memory and kindnesses will never be forgotten.
To his grief-stricken wife, the sympathy of all goes out in unstinted measure.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Little Britain Bible Christian Cemetery in Ontario, Canada and that he was born February 22, 1874 and died September 8, 1908,
