Mrs. J. W. Thompson, a former resident of Cresco, passed away on Monday last at her home near Dell Rapids,
S. D., and was brought to Cresco on Tuesday for interment in New Oregon cemetery. The cause of her death was cancer, for the relief of which she had underwent several operations. Her husband died in Cresco in 1903, and the year following, with her four children, she moved to Dell Rapids. The deceased was a member of the German Lutheran church of Cresco, where the funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Pless officiating.
