Georgiana Chick Ruesink, daughter of George W. Chick and Mary P. Freese was born in Lavant, Maine, May 5, 1868. At the age of 15 years, she came to Iowa where her parents have since lived. At about the age of 18 she united with the Baptist church where her membership has remained.
March 10, 1889, she was united in marriage to Mr. Herman Ruesink. To them were born one son and four daughters.
Her home has been in this community since her coming to Iowa. She was held in esteem by all who knew her. She was a faithful wife and a devoted mother. The sudden summons thus early in life is a great blow to the sorrow-stricken family and an event of of{sic} great sadness to the entire community.
She is survived by her parents, two brothers and a sister, her husband, one son and three daughters. Death came Friday afternoon, Jan. 24, 1908. A Christian wife and mother is gone from our midst but the sweet influence of her life remain an inspiration to the sorrowing husband and children. These have the heartfelt sympathy of a host of friends.
The funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Jan. 27, 1908, at 2 o’clock in the Methodist Episcopal church, Lime Springs, the pastor E. A. Lang officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone photo shows the spelling of her name as Georgia Anna. She is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
