OBITUARY.
SEELYE.
Thomas R. Seelye was born in Crawford county, Pa., Dec. 4, 1833, and died at the home of his son W. T. Seelye near Preston, Minn., Jan. 7, 1908.
Deceased moved to Fillmore county, Minn., in 1856. From there he moved to Clay county, Iowa, where he lived four years. He located in Howard county in 1881 and lived in different parts of the county and part of the time in Cresco till a few years ago when he went to make his home with his son.
He was married in 1861 to Miss Helen M. Hill of Ashtabula county, Ohio. Eleven children were born to them, nine of whom, also his wife and one brother survive him. The children are Asa A., Burr Oak, la., Henry, Berlin, Ore; Mrs. Julia Osborne, Milford, Iowa; Mrs. Louisa S. Pratt, Riceville, Iowa; Wm. T., Preston; Samuel A., Tasker, N. D.; Mrs. Gertrude Boynton, Santon, Minn., Mrs. Helen Martin, Niagra, Wis.; Miss Ethel Seelya, Preston.
Funeral services were held at the home of his son and the remains were brought to Cresco for burial in Oaklawn cemetery.
