Hugh M. While there he was actively connected with the Welsh Calvinistic Methodist church, being deacon and leader of the singing until he came to Lime Springs in November 1905. Here he entered his his{sic} eternal home December 10, 1907. Mr. Griffith was bought up in the church and from his childhood took a deep interest and an acirve{sic} part in the Lord’s work, always found faithfully doing his Master’s will.
There remains to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate husband and father, Mrs. Mary Griffith, his beloved wife and life companion, twos sons, Robert M. Griffith and Evan E. Griffith of this place; three daughters, Mrs. Jennie A. Faschke, Mrs. Winifred K. Williams and Mrs. Mary E. Hall of Winifred, S. D. In the latter part of September of this year his health began to fail gradually until Nov. 22nd he was confined to his bed and after three weeks of suffering from acute softening of the brain he passed to his eternal home December 10th, and was interred in the Lime Springs cemetery on December 12, 1907.
