Died, at Brockville, Canada, Oct 11, 1907, Miss Libbie McCann, sister of Mrs. Robt. Phelan. Miss McCann has lived in Cresco many years where she has many friends to mourn her loss.

MCCANN:
The death occurred at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville, on Friday, Oct. 11th, of Miss Elizabeth McCann, of Heckston. Miss McCann who was 59 years of age had been in poor health for some time and had been undergoing treatment in the hospital. She was the daughter of the late Hugh McCann and was born in Heckston. A part of her life was spent in Iowa. The aged mother of the deceased is still living, also four sisters and one brother. They are: Mr. John McCann, of Heckston; Mrs. M. Higgins, near Kemptville; Mrs. R. Phelan, of Cresco, Iowa; Mrs. McAuley, of Ventnor, and Mrs. O. J. McNally of Westport.
The remains were brought from Brockville and taken to her late home at Heckston on Saturday. The funeral was held Sunday morning at the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, here. Rev. Father Meagher performed the last solemn rites. The remains were borne to their last resting place by Messrs. W. Connelly, A. J. Cumming, S. Bennett, N. Shaver, T. Anderson and W. Robinson, all of Heckton and vicinity. Among the relatives who were present from a distance were Mrs. Phelan, of Cresco, Iowa, and Mrs. McNally, of Westport, sisters of the late Miss McCann.— The Weekly Advance, Kemptville, Ontario, Oct, 17, 1907,
